Being a hub of technology, culture and advancement, New York City has to offer a plethora of activities to any person who visits it, from best restaurant experiences to other entertainment opportunities.
As soon as you step inside the city, you are taken in an embrace of culture and fashion. This embrace shows you into a world where you can easily empty your wallets on anything and everything. Fortunately, cheap flights are easy to find so that you can save up for your shopping in the wondrous city. May it is at the famous Park Avenue or 5th Avenue or any of the country’s finest designer outlets, shopping is one of the most look-forward to experiences in NYC. If New York welcomes you in the holiday season, it is always a thrill to watch the Macy’s Herald Square and stroll through the streets filled with stores that remind you at every turn that ‘it’s the most wonderful time of the year’. Then, there is the Greenwich Village where one comes across artists’ schools and studios. Adjacent to it is the SoHo Village (South of Houston Street) that is truly a dream for anyone who loves anything that got to do with fashion. The streets of New York are in fact a sight for any fashionista as they are often lined with boutiques of amazing jewelry and designer clothes. Then, there is the famous Statue of Liberty for which you got to head downtown to get on a ferry so that you can get a closer look at the marvelous statute.
For visitors on a more business-related tour, there is Wall Street. After a busy day at work, get on to Tribeca and enjoy some of the finest restaurants in New York City. And what is more attractive than the Tribeca Film Festival was founded by Academy Award Winner Robert De Niro and others. The festival was initially founded to uplift the city economically and culturally following the attacks on September 2001. The festival is indeed popular, and it is recommended that you look out for it if you plan to visit the city during the spring season.
And a tip for you: book a seat with a window on your flight, so that even from above you can witness what the city have in store for you. You can have the most perfect view of the Statue of Liberty or the Manhattan skyline from your plane. Likewise, you can clearly see the Chrysler Building, Empire State Building and other skyscrapers of the city.
If you are looking for inexpensive flights to New York City, we recommend that you book the ones in winters and summers. In spring and fall, the flow of tourists increase as the weather conditions become favorable: the average temperature hits 80 degrees during the day and around 60 degrees at night. However, this time of the year is expensive.
Central Park should be your first stop because you must simply miss this one. It is pretty simple to enjoy there: you can go to visit the zoo, you can go swimming, you can watch the open-air theatre or you can play/watch sports.
Shop around. Who does not want to do that when touring a place like New York City that has to offer the best shopping centers and malls of the world? Getting an inexpensive flight to the city means you can splurge and shop around. For the purpose, you have gigantic stores, boutiques and even street vendors. However, you have to be aware of the things you purchase from the street vendors as they might be copies of the original.
A show on Broadway is something worth watching. For that, look for the show listings in the New York Times on either Friday or Saturday or you can simply visit the website (www.livebroadway.com) for Broadway for details. In addition, if you want to save a few bucks on the ticket, get one on a discounted price from TKTS in South Street Seaport or in Times Square.
